Great Raw/Living Cookies** these are great!
1 organic apple, any kind
1 bag of your favorite raw nut mix, organic
Raw cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips (not a raw food) optional.
Blend apple in blender until broken down. Add nut mix and cacao. Blend until desired texture. I like big chunks in my cookies, so I don’t blend that much. You will need to use the plug in your Vita Mix for this recipe. If you don’t have a Vita Mix, you may need to stop and stir and resume blending. You could make brownies by adding more chocolate and blending until smooth. Spoon batter onto dehydrator sheets in cookie shapes. Dehydrate between 10-12 hours. These are Healthy and Delicious, a highly pleasing cookie.
- Note: If you use cacao nibs (raw chocolate), I would add agave nectar to sweeten. The nibs seem a little bitter to me, but play with this. There are so endless variations to this great cookie.

Raw/Living Organic Non-dairy Yogurt
1 cup soaked organic almonds (or your favorite nut, recommend brazil nuts or cashews)
1 organic young coconut
2 tsp NCP probiotic powder (to order 1inhealth.com)
2 Tbsp NCP Nutritional Essentials plain or Vanilla
Pour nuts in blender with the water from the young coconut. (Watch recipe on footage page to see demo of how to open a young coconut) Scrap out the meat from the coconut and add the powders. Blend for a couple of minutes. Leave out on the counter overnight in a covered container to culture. This is your base. In the morning, put a large scoop of the yogurt in the blender with berries, or peaches and make fruit yogurt. You can also use this to make salad dressing by adding olive oil, tomato and cilantro. Get creative!
Raw/Living non-dairy chocolate shake/ ice cream
Organic cashews
Raw chocolate powder (to order rawfood.com) substitute berries or mango or peaches
Frozen banana
Agave nectar
Purified water
Fill blender an inch with cashews, about ¾ cup. Fill 1-½ inches past cashews with water blend 30 seconds. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. This is such a great snack late night when you get the cravings for some dessert. This is protein, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, fiber and much more.
To make into ice cream
2 options:
Pour shake into ice cream maker and it churns into ice cream,
OR
Add 1-cup ice to your Vita Mix and blend to make ice cream
The kids will LOVE it, and they can learn to make it themselves.
Living Breads and Crackers
2 cups soaked flax seeds
1-cup organic cherry tomatoes
1/3 cup cold stone pressed Olive oil
Dash sea salt
Several sprigs of cilantro, substitute any pleasing herb
Pour flax seeds into large mixing bowl and set aside. Put all other ingredients in the blender and blend 30 to 45 seconds. Not to long or the tomatoes might get frothy. Pour the tomato mixture on top of flax seeds and mix together.
Spread mixture onto dehydrator sheets your desired thickness. A thicker spread will make bread; a thin spread will make a cracker. Even out edges in a nice rectangle or square. Dehydrate 10-12 hours. Remove from dehydrator and brake into smaller pieces for sandwiches or snacks.
- Note: This can be made into a breakfast bread or cracker by blending blueberries, agave nectar and a peach with a little apple juice, Or apple juice, raisins and cinnamon.
- All of these recipes have infinite variety, choose your favorite ingredients. Make a fig and black sesame cracker, or apricot and coconut. Have fun with it! Flax is super good for you!!
Living Nut Milk
I cup nuts or seeds (Almond, brazil, and cashews work the best and are a nice white color, if you’re allergic to nuts try this recipe with sunflower seeds or black sesame seeds.)
1 quart purified water
Blend until milky
Strain with a nut milk bag if desired
It is Ideal to soak the nuts to germinate prior to making the milk. This activates the seed. But do the best you can. In my opinion, it’s better to make yourself a fresh almond milk in the morning with unsoaked nuts than it is to drink processed soy milk. Try to soak, but if not, make the nut milk anyway. Different nuts take different amounts of time.
Almonds = 24 hrs, rinse periodically
Cashews= 3 hrs
Brazil= 8 hrs
Sunflower seeds= 3 hrs
Walnuts= 4hrs. * Walnuts make a rich buttery milk, add a couple of dates and you have a stunning elixir. You can slightly warm it in the Vita Mix or on a stovetop. If it is warmed to only 100 degrees F, the enzymes activity is still active. Give it a try.
